This is the very first batch that we acquired at the beginning of our journey into the whisky business. The bond year of this batch is 2000 and continues to finish in Cognac barrels. It’s pretty great, but the brandy finished stuff was ready ahead of time. So we’re letting this batch sit bit longer and now it’s ready for a partial release.

Finishing Time: 60 months in 25 year old Cognac barrels (Charente, France)
In-Barrel Age Statement: 22 years
Strength: 58% ABV
Distillery: Potters / HWL
Tasting Notes: Aromatic dried fruit, floral notes, roasted chestnuts, vanilla. Warm, velvety mouth feel with a luxuriously smooth and lingering finish. An 18 year trial sample was awarded a Silver Medal at the 2019 San Francisco World Spirits Competition (but we felt it still wasn’t ready)

Rare as Alberta hens teeth. The bond year of this batch is 1985 and is still finishing in Armagnac barrels and therefore age statement, finishing time and picture are representative only. Age statements finishing times will be updated at date of bottling. We acquired this stuff in 2018 and jumped pretty darn high when it was offered to us. Did we mention Rare as hens teeth? We’re excited to be making plans to make a bottling later in 2022. When we release, please reserve with your favorite liquor store!

Strength: ~58% ABV (subject to final taste testing)

Tasting Notes: Even more complex and brandy forward from the alembic armagnaçaise distillation. Intense ripe dark fruits (cherries, plums), leather. Ultra long finish.
